GUEST BOOK

Love is the mantra of a 37 year marriage between Bob and Sue Lynch.  They are truly best friends and a fun-loving team. They met at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire and shortly after graduation, moved to Florida, where Sue started her career in education and Bob began working for the Florida Department of Labor.

During Sue's thirty (30) year education employment history she serviced the children and teachers of Florida as: elementary school teacher, Title IV Project Director, educational consultant, teacher trainer, and completed her last years at Florida International University as the Director of Transfer Services and Articulation.  She earned both her Masters and Doctoral degree at Florida State University.
Together, they have committed their lives to serve humanity with the love that they know as the true mission in their lives.  At Unity on the Bay in Miami, they tithed their time and talents as Board members, Sunday service greeters, Coordinators for Friendship Sunday, Music Festival, Holiday Fair, Adventures in Faith, and an endless list of countless other services. It always seemed what ever needed to be done one or both of them were there helping.
Picture of Sue by the statue at Trump International Golf Club.  Sue loves golf. Did I mention that before?  Sue loves golf.  Talk about a volunteer, she will travel miles all over the state of Florida to pay money in order to volunteer at a golf tournament. She dragged Bob to West Palm for the LPGA Playoff at Trump International Golf Club. She worked (with wrist in a cast) the "Million Dollar Shoot Out" and got to see all the greatest women players in the world up front and personal and received autographs from most of them.
Next Sue traveled upstate to Palm Coast, Florida.  There she stayed with one of her best friends, Jan Joy. They caught up on old times (work & travel stories), lots of laughs, good food and early mornings. Sue was assigned the practice area (6:00 am report time) at the PGA Legends Tour at the Ginn Championship. Wow, how awesome to see and watch the greats. You must be 50 or older to play on the Legends Tour. The older I get, the younger that seems. What swings they have. Sue put in enough time volunteering that Bob and she will be able to play the ocean course at the Ginn Championship at Hammock Beach Resort some time this fall.
Each day is a gift they seem to always truly appreciate.  Maybe it's because of some of the trials and tribulations they have endured together. They love their families as best friends and love their best friends like they were family. Speaking of friends, if you were limited to just a few, these two would be a solid pick.
Bob #1
Sue continues to volunteer within her community.  She volunteers at her church doing a list of odd jobs from serving food, setting up tables and chairs, painting, and most recently organizing the donated items for the free garage sale. Last year she organized what she calls the "Theatre Chics" which is a group of ladies who volunteer at the theatre as greeters, ushers, and ticket takers. She also coordinates the Ladies Golf League within her development during the season. She says her golf game didn't improve one bit and actually her handicap increased but she had a "hoot" doing it.
Bob spent his twenty-five year, award winning, administrative career with the Florida State Department of Labor as Quality Control Analyst, Administrator of Internal Security, Appeals Referee, and Appeal Referee Supervisor in Miami. When Bob decided to take an early retirement in 1998, due to his health, it was estimated that he had presided over 20,000 unemployment hearings.
Bob on the other hand, was in the transportation dust ball and barely saw one hole played.  Did you know if you volunteer enough hours you get to play the very same course?  Well Bob and Sue played "Trump International Golf Club" the last week in May.
